Habanos Cultura :: Brand Of The Month

San Cristobal de la Habana

San Cristobal is one of the most recent releases of brands, as it only dates since 1999. However, unlike many other Habanos that had to go through a lot of time to gain the smokers' confidence, San Cristobal are already amongst the most favored Cuban cigars in the world. The name comes from the initial name of the capital of Cuba, which was known as San Cristobal de La Habana long before being called Havana. These Havana cigars are produced in La Corona factory and use Vuelta Abajo leaves. The vitolas that San Cristobal brand produce are Pacos, Minutos, Gorditos, Campanas, Mercaderes, Rodolfos and Oficios.

Their secret lies in the hand of Jose Garcia, also known as "Don Pepin", who used its tobacco knowledge to create a savory new flavor for Cuban cigars smokers. Cuban tobacco is mixed with Nicaraguan leaves to produce San Cristobal cigars that have one of the richest tastes.

These pleasurable Habanos are not meant for quick smokes, but rather for moments when you can slowly enjoy he complexity of the flavors. Coffee, wood, earth and leather are only some of the main aromas included in the best products on the market that come form San Cristobal. These Cuban cigars proved to be a dream that came true for all the exigent smokers in the world.
